What’s wrong with this picture?
“The Grand Canyon ruins you,” said Christie Kroll, shown here reading my book while soaking in a travertine pool at the mouth of the Little Colorado River. “I’m still checking Flagstaff weather. I try to pack my food in ammo boxes, and my husband Peter fell asleep on the dog bed because it feels like a cot. I want to go back right now.”
